Pentecostal Faith Bible College

Pentecostal Faith Bible College is formally established with a Board of Directors, Articles of Organization, and a set of Constitution and By-Laws. The College is affiliated with Pentecostal Faith Assemblies, Inc., a fellowship of Pentecostal and Full Gospel churches, ministers, and ministries committed to fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. For tax-exempt purposes, the College is associated with River of Life Pentecostal Church, which enables recognition by the IRS as a non-profit organization. Additionally, Pentecostal Faith Bible College is registered with the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia to operate as a religious exempt institution of higher education.

FOUNDER/ CHANCELLOR

Dr. Scottie Jackson is the Founder and Chancellor of Pentecostal Faith Bible College. He was born and raised in Four Oaks, NC.  He attended a Pentecostal camp meeting and was filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues at the age of 21. Soon afterward he accepted God’s call upon his life and went into full-time ministry.

From 1983 until 1999 he did missionary evangelism in Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, China, Nepal, Philippines, India, Hong Kong, Russia, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Trinidad, Jamaica, Cuba, as well as in the USA.

Since July 1999 he has been pastoring River of Life Pentecostal Church in Colonial Beach, Virginia and also continues to take short-term mission trips a couple times a year, taking along men who desire to be trained in overseas ministry.

In 1989 he married another missionary evangelist, Darlene Brabrand. They have two children.  They are ordained and covered by Pentecostal Faith Assemblies, Inc.  In 2005 Dr. Jackson became Bishop of this Fellowship of ministers and ministries.

Lay Workers and Experienced Ministers

Pentecostal Faith Bible College provides affordable Bible programs for both lay workers and experienced ministers, ensuring financial limitations do not prevent anyone from learning.

The initial courses are designed for Christians seeking to integrate Biblical principles into their daily lives, homes, and workplaces—those who wish to strengthen their witness and participate effectively in their church, community, and nation. Advanced courses cater to ministerial students who already possess a foundational understanding of the Bible but wish to further refine their ministerial skills.

Function and Process of Education

Education is a journey from knowledge to understanding to wisdom, much like nourishment progresses from eating to digestion to physical energy. Learning is vital for establishing values and making informed choices in daily life. Each person’s current lifestyle has been shaped by all acquired knowledge since birth.

Education is the essential process of transmitting accumulated knowledge from preceding generations to the next. Without it, society risks regression into the fears and superstitions of the distant past. Earning a degree signifies active participation in carrying forward the torch of truth.

In this context, the Church must rise to meet the challenges of a high-tech, rapidly evolving society. Pentecostal Faith Bible College regards Christian education as necessary and ministerial training as urgent.

A degree is required for many professions and career paths today. While the public recognizes the importance of training for secular professions, it is equally important to understand that evangelists and pastors also require specialized preparation. A lack of education should not hinder anyone; all other things being equal, a well-studied Christian is more capable and successful than one who is uninformed.

At Pentecostal Faith Bible College, the Holy Bible is held as the Manufacturer’s Handbook and the Universal Answer Book. The Word of God remains constant, even as communication methods evolve. All Christians need a strong foundation for their faith and lives:

  • Basic Biblical studies provide a foundation.

  • Systematic Theological studies offer indoctrination.

  • Ministerial studies allow for practical application.

Participating in our courses involves not only acquiring Divine knowledge but also cultivating mental discipline and encouraging spiritual growth. The goal is to enlighten and motivate individuals to lead lives of usefulness and service to the glory of God. Our training will enhance your effectiveness in any ministerial project. If you aspire to serve God effectively, your personal Christian education should not be postponed.

You Must Work

Physical development requires effort—”No pain, no gain.” Building Christian character asks for commitment—”No cross, no crown.” Intellectual growth demands diligence—”No work, no honor.”

Pentecostal Faith Bible College provides comprehensive study courses, but the benefit comes from active engagement. While infants must be fed, adults can feed themselves. Participation requires a stable lifestyle, responsibility, and clear priorities. Achieving your Biblical education goals relies on motivation and personal drive. “Study” means ongoing dedication, application, and persistence, fostering both mental and spiritual refinement.

Many obligations compete for the time needed to study God’s Word. Those who are busy may need to make sacrifices, just as making room for Christ and time for prayer are essential. It may be necessary to intentionally create time and space for study—perhaps by reducing time spent on television or social media. With determination, and by seeking guidance from God, you can develop strategies to avoid distractions and overcome interruptions.

Our Chancellor and faculty are available to students almost 24/7.

Standard of Conduct for Our Students

We subscribe to the highest Christian standards and expect our Students to also

reflect high moral and spiritual standard of living.

  • Students must be sincerely dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Students must be living holy in all areas of life. Homosexuality, adultery, fornication, and all uncleanness are prohibited.
  • Students should be free of all substance abuse: alcohol, tobacco, and drugs.
  • Gambling, profanity, excessive anger, and violence are beneath Scriptural standards for the Saints of God.
  • Students must manifest Christ in their physical appearance: attitude, deportment and dress.
  • Students need to be part of a good local church for regular fellowship, worship and accountability.

The Board reserves the right to reject any Student that we have good reason to believe is failing to live up to these standards.
